Too Much News

In today's world, every where you turn around there is information about every possible thing you can imagine at our disposal. There are dozens of cable networks dedicated to happenings around the world, sports, entertainment, weather and every other current event, past event and future event. But is there too much news?

Several years back, before the Internet, cell phones with cameras, access to a gazillion TV and radio channels, how did we hear what was going on around us? Sure there were "underground" newsletters and such, but the mass majority didn't know what was happening until it already happened.

With all that has happened in the last 10 years, many people have been made into credible analysts. As a society we take the word of people who have no right to be speaking as facts. Forget about every politician have a closet full of skeletons, every body in the world does. But it's time for us to syphon out what is crap and what isn't.

So before you turn on Oprah and listen to her spout about something or turn on a Bill O'Reilly or Nancy Grace, realize who is paying them to say what they say. And TMZ is just a fad, in a few years it will be as yesterday as the current fashion.
