I'm Back!

I don't even know how long it's been, but so much on my mind and couldn't focus on writing, but why not give it a try? Let's start today off with the Millionaires and Billionaires of the NFL. If you think just because they settled the lockout and have a new CBA in place that I will forget what they did, you are wrong. I am pissed it took so long. Commissioner Goddell tried to get the players and their "union" to negotiate, but they refused. Whatever the story behind the refusal, it doesn't matter. The players come off petty and not willing to play football.

So after 120+ days, they settled on how to share $9.2 Billion while I am struggling to pay my bills. And if any of those MFers complains about money or feeding their families, I hope someone shoves gravel in their mouth and makes sure they swallow it. Also, when any of these greedy players gets pulled over for a dui or dwi or dlm (driving like a moron) they should forfeit a part of their salary/pension and donate it to charity. Anyone making that kind of money and stupid enough to put their body and possible someone else in harms way doesn't deserve the privilege of playing in the NFL. Michael Vick, Dante Stallworth and Plaxico Burress should be their role models about second chances and why they need to think before they do something. I am one for giving second chances, but I am also one for eliminating stupidity out of your day to day life.

So now lets actually talk about football and I am happy to say, The Philadelphia Eagles have done the best job of upgrading their team from last year. They added quality people, who happened to be great football players and Andy Reid and Company have gone all in this season. The expectations are high, but so is the talent level. I can't wait for September 11 and St.Louis.

Finally, I would like to mention Donovan McNabb is getting a last chance to prove he is a hall of famer and a leader of men on the grid iron. Last season's Washington experiment was more of a shot at the Redskins than McNabb. Good ole Mike Shanahan and his ego actually think they know what they are doing. But he is not in a class of Bill Parcells, Bill Bellichek or Bill Walsh. McNabb was brought into Washington to be the savior, but they had very little around him. Shanahan made a lousy trade and McNabb was the one who got the blame. Now, McNabb goes to a place (where he should have been in the first place 3 years ago) and has an opportunity to win. They have the pieces in place and if they don't win, Donovan's legacy will take a hit. I personally feel they will win the NFC North and have a great chance of going to the Super Bowl.
